VThe Docume nt Properties dialog box sets properties that affect the entire document. QThe ort Formats dialog box imports formats from another document. TThe Freeze Pagination dialog box freezes a document s pagination so you @can edit the document without changing the current pagination. Format menu > Document Dialog box where you can set several document-wide properties. Numbering *Specifies the numbering for the document. 31st Pa Sets the starting page number. e # Style Sets the numbering style for pages. a *You can choose from numeric, uppercase or +lowercase Roman, or uppercase or lowercase ts alphabetic. 1Restart Paragraph Numbering Restarts the n 3document s paragraph numbering. Use this dialog box to make global format the Ochanges throughout a document. After importing the formats, FrameMaker Iupdates the document using the new formats. If both documents contain an e Gitem with the same name, such as a Paragraph Catalog format or a color For Idefinition, the imported item replaces the item in the current document. IYou can also merge the formats from another document with the formats in b !some or all documents in a book. Import from Document 1Specifies the document whose formats you want to 3import. The pop-up menu shows all open documents. Import and Update 5Specifies the formats you want to import and update. Paragraph Formats Merges the specified the :document Paragraph Catalog into the current 3document s catalog and updates existing paragraphs ume 1to match the catalog formats with the same tags. 4Also imports footnote properties, the characters in . 5the Allow Line Breaks After text box in the Document 7Properties dialog box, and the feather settings in the Flow Properties dialog box. Table Formats Merges the document Table DCatalog and ruling styles into the current document 1and updates existing tables to match the catalog 7formats with the same tags. Only properties set in the 0Table Designer are updated in existing tables. Color Definitions Merges the document color 6definitions into the current document and updates 4text and objects with the most current definitions. Reference Pages Merges the document reference pages into the current document and 3updates body pages with the most current reference ber page information. 2FrameMath reference pages are not imported. These 0are imported with Math Definitions Moreup Variable Definitions Merges the document s ent variable definitions into the current document and 1updates existing variables with the most current definitions. 6If you re importing variable definitions that contain =character formats, you should also turn on Character Formats Cross-Reference Formats Merges the document cross-reference formats into the current document 4and updates existing internal cross-references with the most current definitions. 1If you re importing cross-reference formats that 3contain character formats, you should also turn on Character Formats Conditional Text Settings Merges the document condition tags and Show/Hide settings into the 2current document and updates existing conditional .text with the most current tags and settings. Math Definitions Imports the document 0element definitions, FrameMath reference pages, 3equation sizes, and font settings into the current 1document and updates the existing equations with t the most current formats. 2If you re importing math definitions that contain /character formats, you should also turn on the 8 Character Formats checkbox. While Updating, Remove )Removes format and layout overrides when I FrameMaker updates paragraphs, tagged text, page /layouts, and tables.
